Frank McDowell is the Chief Executive Officer and Dick Rafferty is the President of AMC Inc., the parent company of Star Real Estate. After spending seven successful years as a real estate agent, Frank McDowell founded Star Real Estate in 1977, while Dick Rafferty opened his first brokerage in 1980. Throughout the years, Frank and Dick were not only friendly real estate competitors, but neighbors and Harley-riding buddies in their free time. It is their friendship that led to the merger of the two brokerages in April, 2001. As partners, Frank and Dick have grown Star Real Estate to what it is today; one of Orange County's leading and well-respected independently-owned real estate companies.
In 2005, Star Real Estate closed over 2.15 billion dollars in sales volume. 2006 has already exceeded expectations. With a 39% market share in the local area, Star is positioned for continued growth and success. |
